For the more energetic, both tennis and badminton are available on-site, there are indoor and outdoor courts, plus a club room for social events. Players of all standards are welcome, and coaching can be arranged if required. The facility is open all year round and set within the beautiful South Downs countryside. Seaford, Lewes and Eastbourne have excellent golf courses and water sports are possible on any of the beaches. You can take advantage of the Arlington Reservoir and the Cuckmere River for a relaxing day of fishing.
The South Downs surrounding Pleasant Rise Farm and the Cuckmere valley offer extensive walking and biking. The rolling hills, the white cliffs of the Seven Sisters and the meanderings of the Cuckmere river form one of the most beautiful landscapes in England. There are several archaelogical sites, ancient monuments and early field systems to see. The famous South Downs Way, directly accessible from the farm, links Eastbourne and Winchester with a circular loop extending from Alfriston via the coast and Beachy Head returning inland via Jevington and the famous Long Man of Wilmington.
